PARTY MANAGEMENT
Part of my job as a cultural manager for Die Weberei was to manage the party programme for Fridays and Saturdays. For the regular parties (Back to the 90s, Elektrofon, Ü30 Party, Ü40 Party, Zappelfete, Urban Beats, Paradance, Adults Only, Sensation Night) I scheduled dates, booked DJs, briefed the technical team and the club manager. I also handled all the advertisement. Within the team we had meetings to find new ideas to promote a specific party format, before the attendance would run low. For example to book a famous DJ, offer a special drink or set up a photobox, which became popular that time.
New parties (We like it Dirrty, Video Club, Kesseldruck, Fresh Friday) that had to be established, had of course a much higher request of promotion. For these parties we worked in cooperation with party promoters, who were responsible for the content, extra technical equipment and the main promotion.
Highlights during my time at Die Weberei were the 1LIVE Liebesalarm-Party with DJs Tobi Schäfer & Jan-Christian Zeller, two moderators and DJs from 1LIVE (one of the most popular radio stations in Germany) and a special edition of our hip hop party Urban Beats with the German rapper Das BO.
